There's a potential new buyer looking at the Bullets but they haven't made a final decision yet.
Saw an interview with the legendary Leory Loggins on the weekend and he was saying the dem.ise started when the clubs were taken away from the Basketball Association's and given to private owners - they don't care as much about the game, only about making a profit
Wow - the NBL has some MAJOR issues it needs to overcome if it's going to get back to even 1/10th the sport it was in the 90's. I gravely fear for the future of the competition without both Sydney and Brisbane involved.
Seems to me like Victoria still embraces the game but interest is waning elsewhere
Didn't we win the comp just last year? Very sad that so soon after they are no more. Just goes to show that no 1 person/company should have full ownership of a sporting team.
Yeah, but there's not even enough passive support (or money) to oragnise a "rent a crowd" rally like the Rabbits did in 1999.
As the NBL boss said, Brisbane will be back in the NBL next year, but they just ran out of time to get their shit together for the upcoming season. Though I bet if they came up with the $1 million required today they'd change their mind. They're just trying to stop it dragging out for too long. Who can blame them really?
