Bulls 2014/2015

Great to possibly have Khawaja back. A very classy batsmen. Boyce should get plenty of bowling at AB Field. Tassie have a reasonably strong side so I am tipping this one to be a draw.

TAS 3/45

Silk, Cowan and Doolan all gone.

Feldman 2 and Hopes 1.

We've got them 4/101 which is bloody good going.

Tas 217
Qld 1/73

Burns 29
Khawaja 31

You won't get a better chance tomorrow to get big 100's.

5/152

Harris still doesn't have a wicket

Harris 0/51
Hopes 4/14
Cutting 1/46
Feldman 4/69
Boyce 1/32

Really poor from Tasmania today, it was a good day and AB is great to bat on- they should have cashed in with that line up.

Hopes with a ridiculous economy rate

Harris bolwed a lot of overs which is a good fitness test

All Shield games abandoned and each team gets a point.

Good call to abandon all games. The Hughes incident would have to be playing on every players mind. A shame for QLD though as they were in a good position.

Instead of abandoning the games, they really should be rescheduled.

With the World Cup coming I do't think they'd have the venues to do it.

Regardless, I respect that they consulted the players association before making a decision.

Yeah, totally agree with all of the above. However, there's a lot of points that will go missing from this round.

The Bulls next game is against NSW at the SCG on Thursday, the feeling at the moment is it might be moved if it goes ahead so the NSW guys don't have to play at the SCG yet.

Bulls' gym session today and first training run back tomorrow.

PRESS RELEASE FROM CRICKET AUSTRALIA.
Cricket Australia today advises that Round 5 of the Bupa Sheffield Shield has been rescheduled and will be played from Tuesday 9th to Friday 12th December 2014.
Following consultation with the Australian Cricketers Association (ACA) and the States, the round has been rescheduled to start four days following the original scheduled Round 5 start date.
Cricket Australia encourages all players who are selected to play for their States to play, however will respect the wishes of those players who decide, for grieving or compassionate reasons, not to play.
Cricket Australia’s Executive General Manager of Team Performance Pat Howard said: “Round 5 of the Bupa Sheffield Shield has been rescheduled to begin Tuesday 9th December.
“We could not ask or expect players to be able to take the field the day after farewelling Phillip. This is a difficult time and the players’ wellbeing is our priority, so we are taking it day-by-day. Grief is very personal and we want to give our players every opportunity to feel ready to take the field, though ultimately we recognise that returning to play is a significant milestone in assisting all players to move forward.
“We are continuing to work with the ACA to ensure all players and match officials are receiving ongoing counselling and support.”
The my Foot Dr Queensland Bulls were scheduled to face the New South Wales Blues at the SCG on Friday December 5th, with the game start date now moved to Tuesday December 9th.

The my FootDr Queensland Bulls will take a 13-man squad to Sydney on Monday to prepare for Tuesday’s Bupa Sheffield Shield match against NSW at the Sydney Cricket Ground.
The Queensland Selection Panel has added 23-year-old Gold Coast off-spinner Cameron Brimblecombe and pace bowler Cameron Gannon to the squad, with Gannon replacing First Test selection Ryan Harris.
Brimblecombe, originally from St George in western Queensland, has played six Toyota Futures League 2nd XI matches for the Queensland Academy of Sport, including the win over the ACT last month where he took 4-76 to bowl his side to victory.
The tall finger-spinner has taken 15 wickets so far this season for the Dolphins.
The former Queensland youth representative would make his first class debut if he plays next week.
Queensland will travel on Monday with the team finalised on Tuesday morning prior to play getting underway in the Shield match.
