Cricket NSW today named the NSW Blues team to play Queensland in a Bupa Sheffield Shield match starting at the Sydney Cricket Ground tomorrow (December 9).
The full squad is:
Moises Henriques (captain)
Sean Abbott
Doug Bollinger
Ryan Carters
Scott Henry
Nick Larkin
Nic Maddinson
Peter Nevill
Stephen O’Keefe
Gurinder Sandhu
Wil Somerville
Mitchell Starc
The final XI for the match will not be confirmed until Tuesday morning.
Players have been given the option of withdrawing from the fixture should they feel they are not ready to play.
Moises Henriques has been named captain. The all-rounder hasn’t played for his State since injuring his calf against Victoria in a Matador One Day Cup match on October 17.
Henriques played for his club side, St George, in the McDonald’s Sydney First Grade competition on Saturday.
He bowled five overs and took 1-11 against Randwick Petersham before the match was called off after the umpires decided the pitch at Petersham Oval was unfit for play.
The match at the SCG will start at 10:30am each day and entry is free.
