The self centered fucker will wait until we are on our hands and knees begging for him to play for us before he announces his retirement to get maximum inflation for his ego.

I'd love it if we announced we have no interest and made retirement his only option...would kill him to not have the power of the decision.

We should have done that weeks ago to avoid getting caught up in all the inevitable speculation.

Sometimes the best course of action..is to not act. I completely get why Kev would pass on a player like Allan for 500k based on the roster mess he inherited. That seems like a significant bet you are taking when you can't afford to gamble.

I also understand why they may be keen on CS9 at whatever it costs for 1 season only.

The only thing that seems dumb to me, not surprisingly, was the comments attributed to director Morris about sending a limo to deliver CS9, that sort of power imbalance is presenting a dreadful and desperate look about the current playing group and club.

I think Smith is well odds on to retire. The only scenario I can see him playing for either the titans or broncos is ifone of the teams loses their hooker before 30 June and still have money in the kitty to sling his way. If the team is travelling well and he can see a chance at a finals run that might lure him out of retirement.

Cameron Smith is the Novak Djokovic of League - Arguably the greatest of all time (Novak not just yet but potential to be) but they will never be the most loved by fans because they are too arrogant and self centred, so much so they can't even understand why they don't get the love they think they deserve.

He should be QLD's darling but

1. Gets caught cheating
2. Argues for premiership yrs after the fact instead of moving on
3. Somehow Wife gets honoured by NRL (WTAF?)
4. Ditches QLD origin at the last second
5. Constantly just rubs people the wrong way
6. Cronk's wedding fiasco
