Sounds like a badly kept secret.

The signing makes a ton of sense. He's a natural edge backrow in a position of weakness at the club and he's an older head the younger players can look up to. Not only has he been a part of some success at the Jets and the Sharks, he's not a stranger to the Broncos either. He actually played fullback for the Broncos U/20s back in 2013 after a stint with the Roosters.

If you can sign both him and Su'A there's your edge backrow for next year while Riki and Robati transition to the middle and Piakura develops at his own pace.

Depending on how those players develop, it wouldn't be a shock to see Capewell go to 13 and play that Isaah Yeo type role. I actually think he has a lot of football nous that gets wasted at times.

Actually if you pay attention to the words used, Capewell said he hasn’t “signed.” The media is saying he’s “agreed.” The two statements are compatible.
