Okay so everyone has put way more than 20 cents into the halves debate but I rarely hear capewell's name mentioned. He carves up in qcup so what deficiencies are holding him backs from nrl.

H e just doesn't seem to be able to make the step up.

Simple reason is his Capewell, thats enough to send anyone packing.

How many games has he played first grade for any side?

Except someone can't be q cup player of the year without talent. And in half back I've seen him set up line breaks left right and centre (technically only left and centre lol)
and kick 40/20's. I know the competitions are at different levels but to carve up in one you should at least be decent in the other

Yeah, it's pretty funny that people are calling for Hunt to go back to QCup to get some playing experience at Halfback and would be calling for him to be rushed into the Broncos side the second he starts carving up in QCup but Capewell does it on a consistent basis and he's a "nuffy" or "has no talent".

Who said that he'd be rushed back the second he starts carving? Pretty much everyone who's said that he needs to go to Q Cup have said to do so until Prince is gone or is no longer viable. The main reason isn't to get him carving up, get some form, or anything like that. It's for him to get re-accustomed to his primary position, that's being halfback. Norman should have been doing the same, with the idea to put them in the same team & get some understanding and cohesion going.

Q Cup is like the ESL. The gaps are bigger, therefore the smaller, zippier players have a romp. Who's that Newcastle fringe NRL player that's destroying over in England? Can't remember his name, but it highlights the difference. Ironically, the Under 20s is similar. So the fact that Hunt was the best player in 2008 could be moot in terms of his potential in the NRL. But getting him playing halfback for 80 minutes in a lesser comp is surely better than giving him 20 minutes as a hooker.

My thoughts exactly Morkel, if we're not going to play Hunt in the halves, push him back to QCup and wait his time to take Princes position. If he's not happy with that, and if I were him I wouldn't be happy with how his professional career is going at the Broncos, then he should leave. I hope if he does leave he's a gun and outperforms Norman at Eels.

Yep, we have played him at one point, but he sucked so back to QCup he went. I wanted to know how many 1st grade games he's played in a row in one of the half positions. I wonder if he had enough time he might turn out?

Capewell played plenty of first grade at the Titans. He played at fullback and in the halves. He dominates Q Cup but doesn't seem likely to take the step up .

I can't believe the coach thought Luke Notsowell was an elite young gun

He should never play for the Broncos again! He likes Taylor Swift songs!
