Carlin Anderson

For years and years people have tried to say Player X will be amazing in the NRL because he's amazing in a lower grade comp. The majority of predictions are wrong, and the players turn out to be absolute shit.

What's this kid got that the others don't?

Great footwork, little bit of RTS in him.. pretty keen for him to get a crack in the NRL some day soon.

P.S - Marmin has some fucking wheels on him

EDIT: Baiting

I didn't make any bold prediction or mention NRL. I just was impressed again with him on the weekend as I have been the others and posted some footage of a Broncos' contracted player doing well.

I am not their PR person but watch Carlin Anderson's work from fullback to set up his outside men and Barba run away to score.

Highlights: Rd4 Falcons V Jets - QRL

I know it won't be everyone's brand of football- footwork and passing. Anderson can play, that's 14 tries now in 22 ISC games as a 18 year old.

Cough cough. Get over it. My brand of football is whatever works. Which depends on your players' skillset and those of your opposition. If your opposition has the lateral movement of Kim Beazley, step away!

Wow, just watch the highlights kindly provided by 1910 - i can now see what all the fuss is about. His reminds me some what of Josh Dugan {body shape, running style} and hes footwork certainly seems a level above that of the ISC comp. Why is WB not giving a young lad like this a go in first grade? Hes try scoring record is impressive an if he is given a chance, who knows what type of player he could become. I think we may have just unearth our next wing star.

1910, look forward to further updates from you on this gun wingers progress.

Some great footwork there! Though looking at his defence in the Falcon's first try I can sort of understand why he's not in first grade yet.

Also impressed to at the scrum base kick. I love scrum base kicks. It's really the only time we get to see pure speed from guys running in straight lines, Knights used it so well 2 weeks ago against the Titans (I think it was them). I remember the Raiders used to do it a bit too, back in the days where they had Phil Graham. I seriously love them!

I don't watch them week in week out but Marmin seems to be doing well. I wouldn't mind having a winger with speed.
His goal kicking would be handy too.
Anyone know why Carlin hasn't played NYC? Although the fact he's in ISC at 18 is a good sign.

Spot on mate. Not sure how accurate a goal kicker he is but Corey can be a bit so so sometimes. Any good under the highball?

Yeah i much prefer him to be blooded in the ISC. I dare say he would be carving the NYC up if he was playing it!

Well Boyd and Maranta have 2/3 NRL positions with the Bennett loyalty mortgages and you've got Copely, Oates and Reed (and Vidot?) to displace.

Looks like a talent from that video. Hope he gets a run sometime.

But then again Shitchurch was Redcliffe's player of the year last year in ISC.

I preferred that big unit from Sunshine Coast just panzering it over everyone.

BLOOD AND THUNDER SON, NO FANCY DANS HERE.

Another two tries on the weekend. 35 in 28 games for the Jets. In the game from the above video he only made 5 runs in the game- just scored three tries and made 173m.

That's against a Storm laden side.

On Saturday against the premiers, Obst dribbles it through the line; in pouring rain Anderson picks it up, jinks right and runs straight through runs 80m chips in field for McGrady to follow along and score.

Hardly be fair, Jets produced him and he played Colts and ISC for them last year, then he signs with the Broncos and they lose him. Jets recommended him and he is playing good football for them under the Walkers- leaving him was a great call.

Do you reckon he's a possibility for his first grade debut this year? Or still too early to tell
