Did someone punch the coach?

Had to laugh last night, I got 4 or 5 texts from Souths fans saying along the lines of "WOOHOO WE WON THE SHIELD AGAIN!!!" Shows how much they are starved for success when they get this excited over retaining a pre-season shield [icon_lol1.
Twiztid said:Haha true Souths fans know the shield means nothing. It is only something to stick up the Dragons when we win. All I care about is seeing our players getting some match fitness up, work on a few things to get the cobwebs out and not get injuried.
For me the shield is just like SOO. For the 80 minutes I care what the outcome is and afterwoulds I couldn't care less.
Twiztid said:The people who sent you the text messages obviously find the Charity Shield important. Which is fine by me, I just find it frankly stupid to be celebrating it like it was a GF win. Yes it is nice to retain it, but at the end of the day it means nothing.
