Wouldn't be surprised to see a bunch of players pull out in the coming days but as it stands, the City side actually looks strong for once.

It's great to see 4 ordinary halves picked (as far as creativity goes), you'd think one of them will probably partner Pearce for NSW.

I think Country look stronger on paper than city. Most of the country selections are earned (except for Ennis) when I can question a few of the city ones. GO COUNTRY

Country is made up of a lot of young rookies who have yet to really establish themselves in first grade in any big capacity.

City has some very strong combinations and good players in important positions.

Both quality looking sides, although as Pete's just pointed out... Country's full of promise, whilst City look to have a much stronger squad overall.

I like that Country have picked a few younger guys, makes it a little more interesting than in previous years where it was basically a bunch of has beens in both sides - not that I really care what happens haha.

The most boring game on the rugby league calendar. I think this will be even less interesting than Knights-penrith last night.

City has an awesome bench and looks stronger overall, but with rookie halves and a few players that probably won't give a shit, I can see an upset from the country boys.

Looks decent on paper til half of the teams pull out.

Mitchell Pearce has pulled out with a hand injury and Adam Reynolds takes his place as a starter.

That's worked out quite well for NSW.

Selectors already know what Stewart and Pearce have to offer. This game should be about those on the verge of selection, not about those who are already confirmed (although, I think it's important for Farah to play to build a combo with a half).

I also don't mind has-beens playing as long as there's a balance. Kids need some guidance and the experience players offer that in spades. That's why I don't mind the Mason selection.

It's a pointless game, Daley has been pretty vocal on who will be in his side with only a few positions up for grabs. Why would any club want to risk a player in this game when most players have nothing to gain.

Surprised that Shaun Fensom didn't get a call up plays great consistent footy in a very inconsistent Raiders team. Makes 40 tackles and over 100 meters each week, very underrated.
