As expected, it turned out to be a mickey mouse game.

Couple of the forwards stepped up which is good because that's one area NSW can beat Queensland but I was impressed with any of the halves and backs. Most of them had their moments, but then let themselves down with mistakes which at Origin level is pretty deadly.

9's presentation sucked too. Basically an hour and a half of Gould saying 'I spoke to this former Origin player and he said x was good' and Gilbert (yes, they didn't even bring Raaaaaaaay over for this game) boring it up. The delayed aspect didn't help either, I don't even care about spoilers, it's the fact they schedule 2-3 minute ad breaks that kills the flow of the game.

Was a good and interesting game, Country got out to a 12-0 lead at halftime after tries to Josh Mccrone and Akuila Uate, City fought back to 12-12 in a matter of minutes with Andrew Fifita and Adam Reynolds scoring under the sticks. Country take the back the lead with 17 minutes to go after a barnstorming run and miracle offload by Uate sending Jimmy Mac over in the corner. Country hung on to their 18-12 lead Uate made a try saver on Taufua in the final 2 minutes and City broke away at the end but a terrific try saver prevents the game from going to a draw.

Adam Reynolds was impressive with his kicking game, kicked 2 40/20's, directed City around and scored a try. Hoffman was the MOM after a tireless display would be in my NSW team. Uate stood out for a country dominating Merritt and saving the game for them, other country standouts were Trent Merrin, Willie Mason, James Maloney, Michael Gordon and Tariq Sims.

Dead on. Tim tam's commentary was very poor and monotone at best let's hope he doesn't get to many gigs after that performance. Those ad breaks are why I don't watch the 4pm game very often it just kills the flow of the game.

I don't even know why they've got Tim Gilbert involved all of a sudden... he sucks at hosting The Sunday Roast or whatever they're calling it these days. Everything seems so forced and unnatural.

I read this morning that the reason why there was such a low attendance was because the ticket prices were to high. The NRL needs to relise that some people in the country have less money than people in Sydney.

Surely there has got to be some pressure on Adam Reynolds, asking him "Sure, we know you can kick, but can you actually do anything else?".
