It's a known coaching technique (well, at least known in other sports where my coaching credentials are)

It's called mental visualisation

If you can see it happening in your head, you are more able to get your body to do it

I've seen it work, and I've seen it fail

Point is, it's a known technique and Anderson therefore wasn't a mental case for trying it :)
