Just wanted to know if its still thought of with the same super praise since they just inducted the guy that everyone on here was disagreeing with his immortals selection after you said that unlike the immortals this is judged fairly. Seems like a fair question to me.

Mal's already a member ;) as are fullas such as Dave Brown and Dally Messenger who really need to be included in the immortal concept before it can be taken seriously.

There is just no disputing they are the most prestigious sporting award available to an Australian.

Give it up.

I like the Hall of Fame concept better than the Immortals. More Hall of Famers = less dud picks = more people happy.

Edit: Thought I'd prefer a separate NRL Hall of Fame.

Disappointed johns was named, I'll be honest. But at least it's not the agenda of a crap magazine that put him there.

His on field performances warrant this but yeah if off field "giving back and setting an example" type criteria were part of any of these then I would be the first to saw he has no place. I do agree on the selection panel for the immortals being a joke. It should only be people who played the game at the highest level given the right to select the players. Journalists from different cities and states will also drive an agenda in these things.
