Deardon and then O'Sullivan being injured had double the impact because Nikorima was let go. We were on plan D for our halves.

Any team will struggle on their third string halves - which we were.

There is some merit to what you are saying but O'Sullivan was fit for the final round game against the Dogs yet our coach still chose Boyd/Turpin as the half combination.

I don't think O'Sullivan was ever playing that finals game and that's on the coach.
