Canberra has signed Penrith forward Nathan Smith on a 3-year deal, and Smith's arrival at the Raiders next year is set to see former Bronco Neville Costigan link up with the Gold Coast Titans.

In other news, Penrith are hunting Rooster's stalwart Craig Fitzgibbon for 2009

Canberra have also agreed to release back-up half Michael Dobson to either Wigan or Hull KR. The 21-year-old will be free to leave after this weekend's game against the Warriors.

In other contract news, Dragons winger Jason Nightingale yesterday celebrated his selection in the New Zealand squad for next Friday's Centenary Test by re-signing with St George Illawarra for a further three years.

Titans centre Josh Graham has also agreed to a further two-year deal.

Good luck to him, I guess - just another reason to hate the Titans for me.

Undoubtedly a talented player, really needs to find consistency though.

I don't see why you would dislike / hate a player simply because they don't play consistant footy. There have been plenty of players at the Broncos in that boat over the years.

Good on him, he deserves a shot in QLD.

Sorry, poorly worded post. I dislike him because he carried on like a f**kstick here around the time of his departure, even threatening to take the club to court etc.

Titans will be close to having the best backrow now with him added into the squad. Whats with penrith wanting to buy guys past their prime? he has no confidence in securing the young guys at the team.

I think what Penrith are looking for is a few more older, more experienced guys in the team to guide the younger ones around.

If that was the case then why are the not offering Priddis another contract? He is most experienced player in the line up and whats more he is in a key position! [icon_shru

They've already got the best juniors running around!! You only have to look at their Harold Matthews, SG Ball and U20's teams, they are absolutely killing it!

I can understand your reasoning of them being sick of the club and not being successful, but anyone would be no matter what club. I think there is enough potential in the team for guys like Priddis and Puletua to play on. I can see them winning a comp in the next few years if they can get some experienced guys.

so sign him for 300k or more for a few seasons till he goes to england and in the meantime have no money to keep your juniors.

I dont get it. penrith are looking for quick fixes and it never works.

Look to the future. The tigers did and look how they went with a young side.
