just because a player signs elsewhere doesn't mean the club let him go. chances are he would struggle to get a spot in our first grade team while he has a better chance at the Cowboys. he may have been offered more money at the Cowboys as well.

Farah robbed - how did any Roosters player get any votes against the Sharks, let alone Carney getting 2? They were terrible that night.

I was surprised that Farah didn't poll points against us, given that he supplied the match winning try. Carney turning his life around and winning is a good story and to be honest, he'd probably be my pick for player of the year, but this year's count highlighted to me more than ever that it's ridiculous that the game's most prestigous award is decided by journalists. I hope this is changed when they bring in the independent commission.

Congratulations to Sammy and Gillett. I thought Locky was unlucky not to get representative player of the year. Had to laugh at the broncos boys laughing at Gillett's shyness during his speech.
