The only reason I bring it up is because the club could probably get him real cheap then Bennett can make him pull his finger out of his ass and work on his game and fitness but I personally don't think we should, I would invest heavily in Oates second row development anyday.

The only way you would even remotely consider it is to offer him an incentives based salary, but he never would take it and so we all move on.

Offer him $100k a year, tell him he more than likely won't play any games except around origin time. Anything more would be overpaying him.

If Dave is interested about winning a premiership. The best thing he can do is get on the phone to Wayne, say he's willing to do anything to play for the Broncos and would consider a shift to prop.

Sign him on a good deal, have him come off the bench and if it doesn't work out, send him off to the ESL or Rugby where he could earn a pretty penny to support his family.

Must admit, I've always had a soft spot for Taylor. I think he's been pretty useless for the Titans when you weigh up what he's probably on but have always had a feeling that he was somebody who never wanted to leave the Broncos and let his career suffer for it. A lot of people bag him for his work ethic, but there's been plenty who have had the same problems but been forgiven.

A couple of weeks ago on The Matty Johns Show, they were talking about Taylor & the rumour the Titans want to get rid of him.

Tallis said he ran into WB not long after he signed with Souths & he said, Taylor will give to all headaches.

what do you reckon it would take for Dave Taylor to do that - hypnosis by aliens ? One of the biggest wastes of talent in professional sport in this country imo .. For a guy of his physical dimensions and skill to be pissing his career into the wind is a true sporting tragedy.. I also have a soft spot for this monolith and would love it if the switch somehow flipped because he could absolutely wreck the NRL if he ever maxed out on his ability.

Infact I curse his name every time I see the Queensland pack doing it tough during an origin battle... Because he SHOULD be there front and centre tearing everything in front of him to pieces.
