Denan Kemp Dropped

Sadly he would be doing fine if Sonny Fai was inside him he looked a quality centre, Mannering while a decent footy player is basically a second rower.

I want to do creepy stare guy, but I reckon that'd be disrespectful to Sonny Fai.

It really annoys me how much Kempy is copping from some people and he definitely didn't deserve to be dropped IMO. He hasn't been used correctly and hasn't been getting any decent ball all year and it also doesn't help by having Vatuvei and Ropati on the opposite side because they get most of the ball.
Come home Denan, I would welcome him with open arms.

He's been terrible.

The guy who replaced him, Kevin Locke, has been waiting for two seasons to debut, and in replacing Kemp scored 2 tries on debut. It doesnt help that Denan has an exremely incompetant centre inside him in Jarome Ropati, but he's got to learn to think outside the square and realise sometimes you have to go looking for the ball if you want to make in impact. That's what Locke did, running two beautiful cuts off a crabbing Ropati, he also made a few breaks out of dummyahlf - I dont think Kemp has made one this season.

Locke was outstanding yesterday. For a kid on debut he did some things most seasoned fullbacks / wings struggle with. That ball he ran onto when he was about to get smashed showed courage, and he diffused everything that came his way. Kemp will not get past this kid anytime soon.

Hrmmmm....

Boyd in doubt, Kemp on standby

Queensland's State of Origin preparation has been thrown into chaos with winger Darius Boyd injuring his ankle at training this morning.

Former Brisbane Broncos winger, Denan Kemp, has been called up from New Zealand Warriors reserve grade to catch a flight to Melbourne to be on standby.

More to come.

Damn. They should have got Steve Michaels.

He decided he wanted to sniff powder. I would happily never see him play Origin again.

Well he never got a sniff of white powder while playing rugby union, so he thought he'd have a go off it.

Definitely.

Man oh man, i am so gutted for Steve Michaels. I thought this was really going to be his year.

I honestly can't understand why they wouldn't select Michaels? He's a force to be reckoned with.

damn you coxy.

My excitement levels just hit the roof.

Kemp in for Boyd ay! Thats an interesting one seeing as he isnt in the 25. Probably got in because of his 'Bronco' connection lolz

Kemp has gone from being on the back-end of world class fowards, halves and centres in a team which attacks damn well.

His form hasn't been the greatest, I'll grant you that, but the Warriors have been cod ordinary all season. The fact that their only decent game came from the match that he didn't play means sweet FA IMO. Ludicrous to blame your team's problems on a winger. Seems to be the case here.

We actually dropped our hooker Henderson for the game too... I suspect that made a pretty big difference as well.
I feel a bit sorry for Kemp having been paired with Tate and then Ah Van, and outside some underperforming halves. Very surprised that Cleary moved Vatuvei to the other wing in order to accomodate Locke - but to be fair Locke took his chance and had a blinder for us. I doubt, bar injury, that Kemp will be back in the top 17 any time soon.

kemp will be back at broncos i reckon. and people will see what he can do, the kids a freak just needs the right environment and coach. form comes and goes class is eternal. he did some great things for us last year.
