Denan Kemp podcast w/guest Yow Yeh

For anyone who isn't aware 2008 bronco legend Denan Kemp has been uploading a series of NRL related podcasts in which he interviews former and current players.

Its pretty cool because the format is a lot more casual than what I'm used to seeing from NRL players, and they come across as real people instead of just the same old script ("yeah, nah, definitely. full credit to the boys. 110%).

The latest episode featured Yow Yeh and he speaks pretty candidly about his time in the NRL, player welfare, his injury, and indigenous people.

There is also episodes with Alex Glenn, Corey Norman, and Sowie that I enjoyed. The one with the broncos boys gives pretty cool insight into how players view their time at the club and the Alex Glenn/Jamie Soward eps especially go into a bit of detail about being coached by Bennett.

I really like the podcast and would love to see it grow. Plus I have a big soft spot for Kempo and would like to support him a bit by getting his views up.

I'm watching all of his eps now, Kempy pretty much said leaving the Broncos and not having Hodgo inside him ended his career lol.

Now I feel silly for not making a thread about this.

I'm glad somebody else had the initiative, I made a post about it in General Discussion a few weeks back after coming across it. I really like the podcast as well. Like with every series, it needs a bit of polishing, but I remember wanting something like this back when Colt Cabana (of Pro Wrestling fame) released something similar. Which is basically players shooting the shit, talking about Rugby League but in a really casual down to earth manner.

There's only so much pre-match and post-match interviews I can take. I like it when it's about a player and they can tell their yarns.

Great youtube/podcast gives a better insight into the life of a NRL player than most of the vanilla interviews you usually hear on the radio/TV. Keep it up Kempy.
