Does Jake Turpin have a future with the club?

well....like Milf, Coates, Gamble.......complain about Turps all you want (and rightly so), but who else is there....?

Next year is next year. We are on our 18th halfs combo since Hunt left (or something like that).

Just do what i do, write this year completely off....there is no moving of deck chairs that will stop the Titanic from floundering this year.

Its another wasted year. Another one of wasting the best years of what few decent players we have here.....and we front up in 2022 to start again...

And what i expected from a NRL rookie coach is what im seeing.....shoots of green but inconsistent selections and poor bench rotations. Kev like most of the playing group still need to learn a lot...

I'm thinking Kev probably gave him the C to give him the opportunity to really rise to the occasion & prove himself. Show some real faith in the lad & see what he can do, unfortunately he shat the bed.

There is no next year in the NRL for me if they continue with these shit rules. It’s no longer rugby league and I won’t be supporting whatever the **** this sport is

Whether Macca is or was better is neither here nor there because Macca was on three times the price tag, so Turpin often punches above his weight for what he’s paid for. He isn’t an elite hooker but he is value for money. Unfortunately to be successful in this comp you need elite in your spine and we don’t have anyone even close to elite in spine positions at present and we only have one coming in next year. Still dark days ahead.

My answer is pretty simple in that I hope not. He contributes to what is a very lacklustre spine and after 10+ years of Macca at dummy half I think we are selling ourselves short with Turpin. The role is too crucial now even more so with the rule changes.

There is no doubt the broncos need more from this position.. whether Turpin can provide that is up for debate.. he certainly hasn’t delivered enough to this point

But what rule changes?
And how long will those rule changes be in affect?
Will there be further changes to those rule changes?
Will they be applied haphazardly over the course of a weekend, a few rounds (dropped temporarily for the origin games) and then put away again come final times?

Can you imagine 11 against 13 in a Grand Final? It's not even worth thinking about, but that's what the current precedent set by the two overzealous refs last night is shaping up to be.

Sure, the magic round has already created massive publicity and given the news networks a field day. But the longer lasting damage last night has created? well you need to ask yourself was it worth the publicity?

Our once great product has become an over officiated game of touch footy.

Wouldn't be surprised that walters will be our hooker next year. At the moment i just don't care either way.

Was pretty ordinary last night in the short time he was out there, but bizarre to make a guy captain and then gratuitously hook him. Maybe TPJ was the real captain. He was acting that way. And maybe his captain's call showed why isn't quite ready.

But Turps is still better than Macca. Great bloke, but a dead weight. Lest we forget. Careful what you wish for.
Quite ready ? The guy is a liability IMO. I’m absolutely done with him and would be happy to move him on. Culturally seems to be rubbish for the place. What are we six years in and still waiting for consistency and leadership?. The guys a moron .
Sorry McHunt but last night did it for me.

The question becomes, with our budget - who can we actually buy in. Turpin has a PO for next year. We cant afford zip in that position.

Would love to know how our cap is actually sitting for next year. Brandon Smith is crying out for a hooker role...obviously he won't come cheap but if there's any way to get him we should be doing it. Get in his ear, Donuts!

What’s he actually on? Couldn’t be too much
