Dragqueens v Broncos

I have no ideas as to how to improve, but something is wrong if the same team goes into this game coming up.

What is up with Lockyer? He has been so quiet we can't get any tries at all.

In lockys defence he does not have Kemp,Izzy,Hodges,Hunt to shift his plays to like he is used to. We do not have any real finishes.

I liked what Beale did in Game 1. I like the way we played in game 1. We should watch the replay and return to that.

when does norman start playing like a fullback and backing up our forwards? every other team has a fullback that does it, we havent had one in ages!

When he's coached properly as part of a good game plan and gets experience. I thought he was good in game 1.

I think we won't get flogged TBH. I reckon we may rise to the occasion, I don't know about a "win" but I reckon we'll get close.

We won it last year because we were right up in their face, and on Soward's face, and we played as a disciplined, well organised team and stuck to a well thought out game plan.

Henjak, Lockyer and Wallace. That's their task.

Henjak needs to dig out the game tapes of the regular season game where we beat them down there as well as the semi-final game and show them how to play the Dragons. I know we are down on troops, but we need to dig deep, show some pride and we can get ourselves out of this hole.

Come on, look at the difference in the teams.

Our team might come up with the same attitude and game plan but we just don't have the personnel to pull it off - and that is just being frank.

For us to win it would seriously mean the Dragons shoot themselves in the foot? Highly, highly unlikely.

We're having a go but our defense is terrible and that is being nice.

The one advantage we have got is that the Saints are coming off a hard game against the Storm, a game which they would have built up for, so hopefully there might be a let down factor. But with it being the Broncos, Bennett will be up for this game.

Not true. Boyd rarely backs up his forwards but instead he has a game like Karmichael Hunt's where he'll chime into the backline in most plays and act like another half. That's what made Hunt so good and it's what's making Boyd so good at the moment.

Norman isn't doing either that good at the moment. In the first game he was up the middle backing up his forwards and he also chimed into the backline a few times for some set plays....but since then he's rarely done either.
Its not an individual, they are all playing poorly as a team... and like years before they are the ones that will have to get out of it and when that happens confidence will get back up and the ball will start meeting its mark and attack will click again... including Norman, who has already shown hes capable...

Ouch that means Beale or Hoffman will have to be on the wing... Not sure how long we can keep carrying some of these youngsters. Lockyer is about to explode with rage..

Yeah look I agree, it would be rather difficult for as rookie like Norman to find his spot in the team and do his thing when the whole team is doing shit.[/quote:2r9hqexc]

Most definitely Rock, if Locky is looking average (and I'm not blaming him exclusively or anything) but if he is looking average, then what chance has Norman got to set the world on fire. We really look like a team that needs to be drilled at training something fierce!

I think Lockyer and Wallace have to step up, what they're doing isn't enough. Yeah we might not have hodges or folau but still he is supposed to be one of the best players in the comp, he is close to the most experienced and what Lockyer is doing at the moment isn't good enough. He needs to forget about all the rep shit and just focus on the broncos. On current form you wouldn't pick Lockyer at all. Norman to me looks like he could be good but is not up to first grade at the moment, I would pick Hoffman cos every time he has played nrl he has looked the goods. As for defence yeah ours sucks at the moment, but it is also hard to get defensive patterns set when there is someone different defending there every week. I think a big weakness of ours is our bench, it doesn't offer any spark at all. We really could have used Tim Smith, I think it was a big mistake letting him go to the sharks. Whatever happens I think we are going to be in a world of shit against the dragons, they are playing well and I think especially on that left side with Cooper and Morris they are going to have a field day with out defence! We are so low on experience that I don't think bringing up young blokes who deserve a shot like Hala is a good idea, we need some sort of experience but who knows where we can get it from. Hopefully Tronc signs on so we can rush him into the side, that way you could probably push Anderson back into the backrow and Sims back on the bench. Although Sims tends to fire up every time he plays the dragons so maybe it would be good to keep him starting. Henjaks use of the interchange has been shocking, I reckon we lucked out with him as coach. He is an average assistant coach at best and a terrible first grade coach. Not looking forward to watching the dragons game at all it could end up being a blood bath!!
