Really? What is your plan with Wallace from the bench?

Waste of a bench spot IMO.

With Rivett out I would go with:

1.Corey Norman
2.Antonio Winterstein
3.Gerard Beale
4.Alex Glenn
5.Dale Copley
6.Darren Lockyer
7.Peter Wallace
8.Nick Kenny
9.Andrew McCullough
10.Scott Anderson
11.Ben Te'o
12.Sam Thaiday
13.Matt Gillett

14.Ashton Sims
15.Lagi Setu
16.Josh McGuire
17.David Hala/Dunamis Lui

Copley scored 4 tries in our loss to the Roosters last week in the U20s. I would prefer him in the centres but I would rather Beale at centre instead of Wing.

That and also Copley isn't up to starting centre...yet.

So unless there are some big scorelines in our favour for the remaining games this weekend it looks like we'll have hit rock bottom (being the ladder bottom) and we can look at rebuilding our season as our injured players come back. Think of it like the colossal loss to the Raiders last year where afterwards we pulled our shit together and went on to make it one win away from the G/F....
Or maybe we're having our mid season slump early for a change....

And yes....i am clutching at some almighty straws

Wallace could add some flair to the Hooker position when Macca is rested and Hunt will be a very solid Half who can go the distance.

I know i have said the game only really needs the 1 Hooker per side. But right now we are running out of puff towards the end of each half and Locky is looking worse each week (Injury is coming). A fresh Wallace coming on either side of half time would be a nice boost.
I would even consider Sims on the bench as well and at the 20minute mark bring Sims and Wallace on together.

As for Locky he has to play the whole 80 for sure but im really worried his gonna get injured soon he just does not look fit and Hunt playing a full 80 will make sure we have it covered in the future experience wise.

ok, last place. Now its time to come back!

I highly doubt Beale is ready for starting centre either yet that happened.

Are you being serious about putting Wallace on the bench or just trying to start conversation?? Madness I tell you Madness

draggz has mad love for Hunt - but if he really loved him, he wouldn't want to send him out in this game where we're gonna get pantsed

I think Lockyer and Wallace have to step up, what they're doing isn't enough. Yeah we might not have hodges or folau but still he is supposed to be one of the best players in the comp, he is close to the most experienced and what Lockyer is doing at the moment isn't good enough. He needs to forget about all the rep shit and just focus on the broncos. On current form you wouldn't pick Lockyer at all. Norman to me looks like he could be good but is not up to first grade at the moment, I would pick Hoffman cos every time he has played nrl he has looked the goods. As for defence yeah ours sucks at the moment, but it is also hard to get defensive patterns set when there is someone different defending there every week. I think a big weakness of ours is our bench, it doesn't offer any spark at all. We really could have used Tim Smith, I think it was a big mistake letting him go to the sharks. Whatever happens I think we are going to be in a world of shit against the dragons, they are playing well and I think especially on that left side with Cooper and Morris they are going to have a field day with out defence! We are so low on experience that I don't think bringing up young blokes who deserve a shot like Hala is a good idea, we need some sort of experience but who knows where we can get it from. Hopefully Tronc signs on so we can rush him into the side, that way you could probably push Anderson back into the backrow and Sims back on the bench. Although Sims tends to fire up every time he plays the dragons so maybe it would be good to keep him starting. Henjaks use of the interchange has been shocking, I reckon we lucked out with him as coach. He is an average assistant coach at best and a terrible first grade coach. Not looking forward to watching the dragons game at all it could end up being a blood bath!!

The broncos never 'let him go'. We didn't even sign him it was East Tigers who signed him. And the broncs did offer smith a contract but he was behind lockyer and wallace and knew if he went to sharks he would get first crack.

We won it last year because we were right up in their face, and on Soward's face, and we played as a disciplined, well organised team and stuck to a well thought out game plan.

Henjak, Lockyer and Wallace. That's their task.

Come on, look at the difference in the teams.

Our team might come up with the same attitude and game plan but we just don't have the personnel to pull it off - and that is just being frank.

For us to win it would seriously mean the Dragons shoot themselves in the foot? Highly, highly unlikely.

We're having a go but our defense is terrible and that is being nice.

I don't expect a win. I actually don't mind losing when we have so many injuries and so many young starters. For me, the situation is, till we get the hurt healed, that we give the young players as much top level experience as possible. In saying that, I'd also like a fairly settled team, a good game plan, & Locky + Wallace leading by example, like being a lot more enthusiastic, especially in the face of adversity ... And a bit more creativity.

I've been a bit disappointed with Wallace. His defence has been great but it would be nice to see him being a bit more adventurous in attack. He's our number 1 half and we should encourage him to get it together.

And I still keep going back to game 1. Yeah - there were problems, but I liked the attack and the creativity. Am I wrong? Didn't Norman impress when he came into the line? Didn't Beale do some very nice things with the ball? Since then, the teams chopped and changed. How do you get consistency with that?

My choice is therefore Norman at 1 and Beale at 3 with T'eo at 4 and Glenn at lock.

Whatever. Given the current lousy injury circumstances, I still enjoy every Broncos game win or lose.

Put it simple i have 4/5 players on my list. If i see anything that should be of interest (Gillett passing fitness on friday) Ill post here and let you all know. If you want me to stop posting what i find out thats cool with me. Already explained how i know a couple and its not purely facebook.

On topic however yes i have huge wraps on Hunt and i was over the moon to see him selected. I also saw nothing worth dropping him for on friday night and in the case that Locky does indeed go down injured (Looking at that shoulder) Id like to know Hunt has had enough game time to not be thrown in the deep end again like last year.

Yeah, Hunt went pretty well last night.

Hope he can get some more games, even off the bench.

I guess we can go for a 14-8 ish scoreline once again but it would be absolutely remarkable if our D can get fixed in one week.
