Do you guys have players, who you wish would have signed elsewhere (sometimes for different reasons *cough* $$$ *cough*) because, in your opinion, it would have made them a better player or at least increased their perceived worth?
I'll start;
JT;
I'm unsure whether it's money or location, however IMO one of the greatest modern RL injustices is that JT plays club level behind a mediocre (at best) pack. I feel if he had of signed for Warriors, Storm, Broncos or Manly in recent seasons, he would be considered far more skilful then what he currently is. A dominant pack would have lead to him having more opportunity to showcase his abilities, as well as having more ability to cash in on his public persona in more populated cities.
Asotasi;
Signing for the Rabbithos was almost a crime IMO. This guy was hands down the best up and coming props (if not THE in form prop) prior to signing with the Bunnies. He put himself in a losing environment (not baiting, not looking for fights with Rabbithos supporter), as well as surrounding himself with a pack of nuffies. IMO, if Asotasi had of signed (for less......) with a Storm, Manly, or most importantly, Warriors, he'd be known NRL-wide as the best prop in RL. On a selfish note, if he had of signed with Warriors, he would have had a couple of seasons with the legend that is Wiki, Warriors may have even snazzled Price as well (The thought of a pack containing Price/Asotasi and Wiki bench makes me hard). Asotasi may have earnt more in his Rabbithos deal, however IMO he would have made himself an icon of the sport in the last 2 years had he signed with a club who has a more winning culture (Manly, Titans, Broncos, Storm, etc).
Do you guys have any players you wished signed elsewhere (for positive reasons not your stupid fanboy comments like "I wish Sims signed anywhere except Broncos") and for what reasons?
