With Chidac (who was on their ticket) getting a fourth spot that means they control the board.

From what I heard on the news, they have another meeting in April, to vote on the Football board. If they get the numbers on that board (which you would think they will), then Fitzy could be gone.

We can only hope.

Fitzy has been a bit quiet lately, didn't say anything about the rebel campaign so he might be angling to get into their good books.

Fitzy is a shocker, but I'd take him over Ray Price any day of the week. I'd take him over any of those 3 for that matter.

He's not in the coaching role though, he's on the board. It will be interesting to see if he's any good there.

Yeah I know but what I am saying is, the guy is smart and through his work in the lower grades at Penrith that he knows how to win football matches and he may now that he is back at the club come into a role in the coaching department as well.

I don't think Parramatta have made any major steps forward, that's for sure.

Sure the new board are all Parra and footy legends - all of them knew what it took to win footy games in their day (and some still do today); however running a successful club is a very different matter. More and more it has to be run as a business who's product happens to be a football team; NOT as a footy club. I have no doubt it was time for the current board to go - the Eels have just been going downhill, but not sure these replacements are what's needed. Will be interesting to see who they will put in as CEO (assuming and hoping for the Eel's sake that Fitzgerald is gone) - that will have a big impact on their success and much this board tries to have input. I am hoping that have enough sense that now they are in, they see themselves as a temporary board and go about sourcing some good business brains to replace them and step aside. (For the good of Parramatta)

To be fair these guys must be pretty busy and sometimes Google Images just doesnt want to play ball . Besides the water really invokes connotations of Parramatta and indeed, the entire Liverpool district.
