OFFICIAL End of Year Internationals

Karl Oloapu out.

He's been having trouble with a neck injury this year and has pulled out of the Samoa squad to rest it.

Te Kura has been selected for the Kiwi A squad(whatever that means) which means he has probably declared for New Zealand and won't be eligible for Origin in the future.

From my understanding, it's not the main squad so technically he will still be able to play Origin.

I think it's just a matter of time until the eligibility rules are changed and players from other Tier 1 nations can play Origin.

He is in the Dog house at the Bulldogs

Malla knows people at the Bulldogs.
Something else the board aren’t happy with that has been festering all season is One of the major sponsors is Shoe Grab. Josh has a clothing brand that is exclusively sold at Shoe Grab. The ‘Let’s Trott’ clothing brand is co-owned by Josh, Tartak (his manager) and Jay (shoe grab owner). Bit of a conflict of interest there. Front office aren’t fans of this structure.

Does that have salary cap implications

Did Piaks refuse to play for the Cook Islands or is he injured?

has to be injured surely with some late season surgery he wouldn't bail on the cookys.

we already know willison is injured, both of them surely would play if they could.

Karmichael Hunt

2021 - Final NRL game
2022 - Coach Mal Meninga Cup (premiers)
2023 - Coach Hostplus Cup (leading all season, but nobbled by Broncos)
2023 - Coach Cook Islands

How long until he's coaching in the NRL?

NRL teams only get assistants as rookies(mainly because they gain experience around the much larger moving parts of a first grade team rather than a semi pro tier 2 level), I expect him to be our assistant in the next few years.

He definitely comes off as a natural and understands the game and what he wants from a team.

from a Broncos perspective I would try get him to the assistant position by 2025, if for what ever reason Kevvie doesn't work out he would have to on the future radar, even if he gets an NRL gig before that might happen that's a good thing anyway, can't see him turning down the Broncs job if it ever comes up.

IMO our club should only hire within for head coaches, with our history and the talent out there we don't have to look elsewhere.

I hope NZ beat us, Mal needs to be sacked, I respect what he did with QLD but he is fitler levels of incompetence with the Roos and needs his job security taken.

Team selections are bad and despite our obvious player advantage despite it we still play like lost *****.
