Great, Antony looks to have picked up a back issue in the warm-up.

Looks to be all good. He's starting so that's a good sign.

Can't afford anymore injuries with Rashford out.

That's a fucking red card.

Casemiro got a red for less.

And Bruno gets a yellow for a block.

Lol. This ref is fucked.

Man United really need another goal.

That would effectively end Sevilla's chances of progressing.

Malacia you dick.

Own goal and now Martinez down with what looks like Achilles injury.

Man United are doing their best to concede here and come away with a draw.

6 minutes added time.

Sevilla playing strong. **** me.

Sevilla score and of course it's Maguire that it deflects off.

Having a read about the United takeover this morning and they are actually a pretty poor investment at this moment in time despite them being commercially the biggest club in world football. Their debt is massive, Old Trafford basically needs a complete rebuild. The debt and stadium rebuild alone you would think is going to cost them around 3 or 4 billion on top actually buying the club.

You also have to factor in the team itself needs big investment. 6 managers in 9 years isnt a big sign of stability either. Anyone buying that club isnt going to be making a cent out of them anytime in the next 5 or 6 years minimum.

The Qatar investors have said that one of their big plans if they take over ownership of the club is to invest money into a rebuild of Old Trafford.

The other is to go all out on recruiting some top line players such as Mbappe. If they can get a few big name signings and get Man United back to winning trophies, they would be able to get to that profit stage quicker.

It's been confirmed Martinez is out for the season. That's a fucking blow.

Feel bad for him. He's been absolutely killing it this year and has been one of our best players, certainly one of our best defenders. All of this despite all of the criticism over his size.

Varane is out for a few weeks also.

That leaves us with Lindelof and Maguire as our CB's for the time being.. That's not good.

There's always been a concern about Man United's depth. They have started getting injuries at the worst possible time.

Rashford apparently won't be back for the second leg against Seville either and we'll be going into that match without Bruno as well all because of a bullshit call.

Signing big name players was the start of their demise in the first place. Its utter stupidity if they go back down that route. I cant believe anyone with any sense would even want them to go back down that route. They need to build a squad with players who have got some development in them and will improve over time. As bad a season as they have had, its what Liverpool did. United buying the big name, finished article is just going to see them make the same mistakes again.

I'd be vary wary of what the Quatar investors are saying. Its still a huge undertaking and they still have to meet FFP targets both in European competition and in the Premier league. They simply dont have the luxury of doing what Citeh did when their owners took over or Abramovich at Chelsea. They didnt have FFP restrictions. United will. When you look that Spurs stadium cost around $1.8 to 2 billion 4 years ago you can probably say a new Old Trafford is going to be minimum $2.5 billion. Then they have around a billion dollars worth of debt that needs clearing. Its also going to cost about $8 billion plus to buy them, thats a minimum outlay of around $12 billion probably they have to invest before players. Whatever way you look at it, from a pure financial point of view its a poor investment.

United as a commercial entity make plenty of money, but its still not a going to be an investment that makes the owners money for decades. $11 or 12 billion to get them up and running without players is huge.
