FOOTBALL English Premier League 23/24 Discussion

You have to think Ange will be out the door soon.
They can have Gary O'Neil now we have given him the boot ( even though its 2 months too late ).

I cant see who they get that will improve on Ange tbh with how Levy runs the club. I do think Ange needs to start compromising on his system and football beliefs.

I see Wolves have got the new manager bounce happening!

As for Ange, these statistics are quite damning, even if they're only for one month.

Yep, it was against a poor team but we looked night and day better than with that last clown in charge. Still think we have left it too late to get out of this mess but we have a chance now.

Wolves have gotta win this.

Players just look so slow and disinterested.

These games are making it very clear that we desperately need a left back. Wolves are doing a good job containing Amad so we've been going left a lot but Dalot doesn't have a left foot and he's doing **** all.

A left back, another midfielder because Mainoo has struggled since his injury, a creative winger and someone else to play 10 because Bruno is showing he can't adapt to Amorim's style of play.

This premier league business is quite easy when you replace a clown with a competent manager.

Dont think there is a better player in the league for wise currently that Cunha. Blokes on fire.

United in discussions with PSG for Nuno Mendes.

Mendes has played under Amorim and was a key player for him during his time at Sporting. He's reportedly happy to play under him again.

I like it. We need a proper left back. At this point I don't give a **** who it is, Dalot has been shit.

Then we need another 10. Reports are United are in for Olmo due to Barca having trouble registering him beyond December 31 because of their financial situation. If the Spanish Football Federation uphold their current stance, he can leave on a free after December 31.

Maybe United should stop wasting money on guff like Mount, Yoro, De Ligt, Hjolund, Zirkzee, Onana, Antony etc and buy some players who actually know how to play in a team and know how to play Premier league football. At the risk of sounding like Roy Keane, they need leaders and characters, not the bluffers they seem to sign. Ineos are as much to blame with this as anyone.

As long as they steer clear of our boys i'll be happy. I couldnt see them going to United anyway in their current position, why would you.

Nuno Mendes is quality, he's a guy I hope we are also looking at.

That said, he's absolutely not suited to United and will struggle without experience and leadership around him. I can see that going south quickly. As Wolfie says, your priority in the market should be on established PL pros, your entire club culture needs a reset and bringing in young kids to this environment is a bad idea. Robinson or Ait-Nouri would make more sense.

Olmo has a few clubs after him given his registration issues. I always picked him as a Pep player but I think City are after other targets in those attacking positions (Musiala mainly) and age wise that ship may have sailed. I can't see Olmo ever coming to the prem now personally, unless its to Chelsea. Physically I don't see him doing well in the league.

It's ridiculous that Cunha hasn't been banned. Apparently it's still under investigation, no idea how it's taking so long. But he deserves a lengthy ban. It was a disgraceful thing to do.

I think there is a lot more to the story and thats why the investigation is taking so long. There is talk their security bloke ( who shouldnt have been on the pitch anyway, its not allowed ) made some comment about Rayan Ait Nouri's ethnicity and it all kicked off from there. Thing that will suck really is we will probably lose him for 3 games ( which regardless of what may or may not have been said he deserves because he needs to control himself ) but Ipswich wont get any on the field punishment for them having so many security staff on the pitch when thats just not allowed. Suspending a security person doesnt impact on field performance.

It was a very odd reaction from both in that game, they are both probably the two most laid back players in our squad so to see them blow up like they did was very strange. My gut feeling is there is a lot thats not out there yet and thats why its taking so long to get things finalised.

Of course something was said, isn't that how all arguments blow up? I don't think anyone is suggesting Cunha just walked up to some old guy and assaulted him for no reason. There's still no justification for elbowing someone in the back of the head. Never mind pulling the glasses off his face. If there was, then every time two guys had words on a field they'd end up in a boxing match.

I dont think anyone is trying to defend Cunha. As Wolves fans we would have rather had it done and dusted after it happened to get it out of the way. Almost 2 weeks is a very long time for an incident like this to be sorted out, so something is clearly going on out of the ordinary. And if it does come out there was some racism involved, i'd be happy enough Cunha belted him. Thats justification enough for me.

At the same time though, if the Ipswich security were where they should have been instead of on the pitch where they shouldn't have been, this would have played out a lot differently.

The United fans though are probably a little bitter he tore them a new one on boxing day.
