FOOTBALL English Premier League 23/24 Discussion

We should have been flogged.
We were, comprehensively. Yet again. Scoreline just papers it over.

We only had high possession as they dropped deeper to end the game, we had **** all good shots, terrible attacking passing, and woeful defending and goalkeeping on both their goals and other set pieces.

These players actively make the wrong decisions time and time again. Zirkzee going for passes (terribly) rather than taking shots. Dalot refusing to fucking overlap and cross when it's wide open (he only did it after Ugarte fucking coached him into doing it).

It's just so painful to watch.

Red for Lewis-Skelly.

That was stupid from him. It was a clear goal scoring opportunity and he just straight up takes Kudus out.

We have a glimmer of hope now of staying up. Cunha is on fire at the moment, going to be a bargain for somebody in the summer.

I love our Brazilian midfielders Gomes and Andre. They just love making tackles. They celebrate tackles and blocks like they have won the world cup!

Newcastle absolutely annihilating Forest here.

Down 1-0 and have scored 4 in 10 minutes to lead 4-1 in the first half.

That's a deadset handball if de Ligt's against Liverpool's was.
Problem is there's still been ones exactly like that not given.

Shame this games blown out, needed something to be interested in while waiting for City Liverpool.

I think Eddie Howe would be fuming with that.

Up 4-1 at half time, Newcastle go to sleep in the second half and Forest almost snatch a result with the game ending 4-3.

Turned out to be an entertaining game.

I also can't believe Arteta wanted Sterling.

He has been rubbish.
Yeah I was just waiting for this. Players aren't robots they can't play at a high unforgiving level every game. I realise that's the standard he expects but you can only do it so long with a thin squad. I do think any true fan could see this coming.

As for Sterling we couldn't buy any of the attackers we wanted at the time and the only reason we signed him is because we loaned Reiss Nelson out. He was a emergency buy in the last few hours of the transfer window because we were already dangerously short in attack. I won't hang that one completely over Arteta. The upper echelon's have as much to answer for as him (and that's not even taking into consideration the January transfer window :raaage:)

They might as well hand over the title to Liverpool now. Citeh have imploded this season, and Arsenal are incapable of handling pressure.
