FOOTBALL English Premier League 25/26 Discussion

Just something i feel like whinging about. Whats all this bullshit thats going on with Milner and this so called record of his. Did these idiots forget there was football before the premier league. He's miles behind Shilton for top flight appearances with 848 games. Really gets on my nerves how people seem to ignore football existed in England before 1992.

tbh I think there should be separate categories. it is a bit easier for a gk to play into their 40's than an outfield player.
having said that, i'm sure some old timer beats milners record anyway. but there is something to be said for the level of fitness he has in an ultra professional environment.

I heard somewhere the top appearance players in the premier league dont even make the top 20 of all time in England.

That decision to not give Leeds a penalty for a blatant handball was a ****ing disgrace.

Thanks Wolves for beating Villa. Our win today puts us into 3rd because of it.

I think that penalty and red card was a bit harsh on Palace. Cunha made an absolute meal out of that.

Good to see Sesko is starting to come good. That header for the match-winner was superb. I don't know why we don't put more crosses into the box for him with his height and aerial ability.

Probably should have won that game by more, we weren't at our best. But a win is a win.

Liverpool's style now is polar opposite to what it was under Klopp. So pedestrian. The amount of times players are literally standing still with the ball at their feet. Tough to watch.

What a gift that goal was from Wolves

Up the Wolves!

Ref giving Liverpool nearly an extra 2 minutes to try and nab a draw..

I mean Wolves celebration would have to have been close to 2 mins so is what it is.

The Salah pass at 1-1 where he just needed to play Szobo through and passed it straight at the defender.. I thought Liverpool were winning it there for sure.

I don't know why Salah is still in the team.

Rio looked better. I know he's a left winger but surely he could do a better job on the right than what Salah is currently doing.

Only caught the first 60 but we were rubbish from what I saw. Agree with scobie in that there's very little forward runners when we're in transition.

I really don't know why Jones didn't head the ball on that corner.

He was practically on the line. All he had to do was put head to ball and it's a goal, but he chests it and it deflects upwards and comes off the post and goes over the head of Kirkez.

One of those games where the luck went against Liverpool. Even that winning goal from Wolves was pure luck. Doesn't deflect, Alisson saves it.

Hopefully we can take advantage of this tomorrow and get a win against Newcastle.

Watch us bottle it, though.

This team seems to have no gameplan when playing against 10 men.

We've actually been the worse team. Good opportunity to take advantage of other results and increase the gap and this team are going to blow it. Can't say I'm surprised, though. I was expecting it.
