FOOTBALL English Premier League 25/26 Discussion

Carrick official and looks like Anderson to City.

I have no doubt it will come out some time later that we’re missing out on Anderson because we don’t want to pay the price to get him and pay him over 200k in wages. Which is a ****ing mistake.

Fernandes and Tonali look to be the midfield signings that are planned.

Only chance we actually have/had at Anderson is if they actually did something drastic with the charges and they weren't in Europe/Prem next season.

Or, we met the valuation and convinced him to join on the basis of being a nailed on starter where he wouldn't be at city, becuase we can't go toe to toe right now with City on players and expect them to choose us. Not right now.

I personally think the 100 million for Anderson is a ridiculous fee, but when you need English players you pay the English tax.

Not sure about the Ederson signing.

We haven't had any luck with signings from Serie A.

Hull into the prem from 6th place via play-offs. Im glad the team that got to the final 'legit' is who won it

You're missing out on him because a bigger club is in for him.

The club PR will just spin it to be about financials. The player was never choosing United over City.

Sunderland into the prem and getting Europa is an insane effort.

Talks with Fernandes to accelerate after West Ham's relegation.

Ederson, Fernandes and Tchouameni look to be the midfield signings this summer.

I'll be absolutely amazed if Baleba isn't one of the midfielders signed as it would be a seemingly easy deal.

Brighton are notorious for sticking to their guns when they sell players. They always tend to get good money and i'll be amazed of United pay the asking price.

Probs not getting away without parting a good 60-70 unless hes got some sort of hidden clause. Brighton will back themselves imo.

Also watched the Tottenham game last night as I was up till 430am with a sick kid. Everton were ****ing shit. Yeah let's pass the ball forward, draw in a defender to create a pocket of space in behind and then pass it backwards. Repeatedly. Also let's not cross at the ball at all and put their line under any pressure cause yeah nah. I'm a rival fan and I was furious at how timid they were.
Tottenham were disciplined though I will give them that.
