FOOTBALL English Premier League 25/26 Discussion

De Zerbi, 5 year deal at Spurs

Spurs fans not happy and rightly so due to his backing of that grub Mason Greenwood. He's despised in England and anyone seen supporting him is going to cop criticism.

On another note, the FSA fan survey on VAR has been published. No surprises, the vast majority want it gone. No real football fan wants this blight on our game anymore.

whats your view on offside though? personally i think if any part of the body is inline/behind the last line, it should be fair game. i think they've gone way too overboard with it.

It has gone overboard with offside. I think there needs to be a clear gap between the last defender and the attacker. If a player is getting called offside because his nose is in an offside position like we saw in the Palace vs Spurs game a few weeks ago we know we have gone too far.

Fans have got to the stage where they would prefer decisions be wrong rather than have VAR. Its a way different experience for fans in stadiums than watching on TV. You cant celebrate a goal anymore, which takes away so much from the matchday experience.

Its a crazy decision tbh, and for 5 years too... he disagrees with boards/owners about spending money, and has gone to Spurs, one of the tightest clubs there is.

It could end bad within 6 months let alone 5 years.

But yeah, saw plenty of Spurs fans not happy on the official post.

And he's got a relegation get out clause.

This is the first I've heard of it being an issue.

A few of my mates that support Spurs are quite happy with the appointment. He is by far the best candidate they could have realistically got.

I won't go into the MG stuff but will say it would be unique for any manager to not protect their own player.

Sighhhh. 2-0 at ht. So pedestrian and when we are within 18 we're more interested in flicks and tricks instead of trying to get a shot on target.

Slot out. We need a change in approach.

Thats un unreal header from Haaland tbf

Yeah header was brilliant. As soon as he got in front of konate it was like oh no...

I'm just disappointed in us on and off the ball. We don't press and the odd occasion we do its one player which just means they easily pass through the lines and we just back off towards our own box.

Would be one thing if they're carving us incisively but we're just letting them roll it up to our final third without any fight. Its so passive.

And salah, my god. I've never seen a drop off like it. Someone on another forum termed it as being space jammed and its so accurate lol.

This is gonna get ugly.
Players have stopped playing for slot imo.

They should not have given that to Mo
