United's #1 target for the midfield is going to Spurs.
United didn't want to pay the money. Spurs did. They get the player. They're going to sign Tonali as well because they're willing to fork out the money.
We decided Tonali was too expensive even though he's less than 100 million. Anderson too expensive.
The Anderson deal has changed the market. Everyone's price is now inflated, but we want cheap, so we won't pay the money. Meanwhile other clubs will and we'll lose out on those players.
Fernandes isn't worth 85 million. But we weren't getting him for less. And we aren't getting our other targets for a fair price either. That's the reality now.
A midfield of Scott and Berge/Baleba isn't going to do shit for us next season, although we likely won't sign them either because their clubs will want more than what United think they're worth.
This management is a ****ing joke. And these ****ing clowns are talking about winning a title in the next two years. Laughable.

i guess you guys are a bit gunshy after squandering so much in recent years gone by.
tbh i wouldn't worry about who spurs are buying though. they'll still finish mid table at best.

That is true, but it's the fact that they are far more ambitious than us and signing the players we need.
Meanwhile this incompetent management sits on their ass and waits for the players to come to us begging to play for us. It's complete stupidity.
If they don't end up announcing Tchouameni and we end this summer window with Ederson, Scott and Baleba, I'm going to be ****ing pissed.

The ****ing cheap ass american ****s would be thinking... well we finished top 4 without them... so we can do it again.
Not realising we dropped out of every other cup and only played EPL games for about 75% of the year.
Next year we'll have Champions League... at least until we're knocked out of the group stage... and there is no squad depth.

However, it's being revealed that United are relying on the transfer of Rashford to sign him. Rashford won't do anything until after the World Cup. United still want over 20 million for him and that isn't happening with his wage so it's going to be another loan deal.
Now Spurs are reportedly in for Summerville. So that's another one of our targets we're going to lose.
Frankly, I don't think Summerville is the signing we need to make at the moment, but it just continues to show how little United are being ruthless in the transfer window.

Yeah there seems to be a few mixed reports going around.
First it was Camavinga to stay and Tchouameni to go, then it was Tchouameni to stay and Camavinga to go, and now Tchouameni is going again according to reports in Spain.
I guess we'll find out. It's one or the other, no way they sell both. Endo is not going to Madrid and Rodri looks like is staying at City.
