We were promised so much for this summer window when it came to the midfield rebuild. So far we've got Ederson and Santos. Anderson gone, Tonali gone, Tchouameni is signing a new deal at Madrid. It's like getting a PS5 for Christmas and inside is ****ing socks.

I rate Santos quite highly.. So many reasons that he didn't work out at Chelsea and none of them are really the players fault. Most their fans are not happy he's being sold which is a good sign.

Interested to see his role in the squad, he's not really a destroyer 6 and a pivot of Santos-Mainoo doesn't scream physicality to me. In all likelihood he's the back up to Mainoo.

Market is dire. Most the big clubs need the exact same profile of player.
