I rate Santos quite highly.. So many reasons that he didn't work out at Chelsea and none of them are really the players fault. Most their fans are not happy he's being sold which is a good sign.

Interested to see his role in the squad, he's not really a destroyer 6 and a pivot of Santos-Mainoo doesn't scream physicality to me. In all likelihood he's the back up to Mainoo.

Market is dire. Most the big clubs need the exact same profile of player.

That's the problem.

We need that physical monster in the midfield. None of the midfielders we're getting are that and the ones that could have provided that, we passed on.

We were promised so much with this midfield rebuild, and we've been completely let down. This midfield rebuild is going to be useless because we still don't have someone that can stop our midfield from being overwhelmed.

I'm sure Santos is good in other areas, but he's not good in the area we desperately need, and that's why he's not a good signing.

Not just that, but we're forking out £50 million for a ****ing bench player. So much for not overpaying.

INEOS.

After the last summer window when we ignored the midfield, INEOS got their client journalists to release a bunch of briefs that "United are going to go big for a midfielder next summer" "United will make a huge marquee signing". And after the January window they started releasing more stating "United have Anderson, Tonali and Tchouameni at the top of the list as a Casemiro replacement, they want one of those three and will throw everything at the deal to land one of them".

INEOS had spent the last 6 months talking about Anderson.

Nek minit, "United want fair market value". Like that ****ing exists...

Even when INEOS first took over. Best in class was the line they drummed out, those are the players we would sign. Best in class.. But they must accept under 200k. Like any best in class player will accept that...
 
Manu Kone reportedly wants a move to the PL and has indicated to United he would be willing to sign for them.

Let's see if it's true and how much he wants.
