Parramatta winger Eric Grothe has retired from the NRL this morning.
The former Origin star told his team mates and coach Stephen Kearney of his decision last night.

The blockbusting winger has been struggling in pre-season training with the knee injury that kept him out for much of last season.

No great loss, he was so over-rated.

That whinging little bitch has been looking for an excuse to stop playing league for ages. Hope we never hear of the loser again.

I laughed this morning when one of the news reports said something along the lines of him saying that he only ever played league as a way to fund his music. And then I groaned cause I thought "oh no, I hope this doesn't mean that now he's not playing league any more we are going to be subjected to him pursuing a music career"

His music career is on par with his league career. Shyte.

G I wonder how much cap space the eels have got now?

Given they are also about to punt Tahu - I'd say they'll be the only ones with anywhere near enough.

Enough to sign Inglis.

LMAO if the eels end up with GI. Now that would be some sort of signing saga!!! [icon_lol1. [icon_lol1.

Yeah - how many clubs can announce the signing of the same player in the one off-season?
