PLAYER Ezra Mam

Every single journo hitting Ezra with the "hard hitting" questions would have done something in their past that they wouldn't be proud of. I am not saying they drove on the wrong side of the road, unlicensed and under the influence.. but, they would have done something.

As if he wasn't prepared for those questions, you know he was. What a useless interview.

He wasn't "under the influence" and being unlicenced was unrelated to the accident. Can we please quit with this contrived narrative that only serves to give the fuckwits ammunition to persecute him beyond his contrition?

How would they find him guilty of being under the influence when he testified in court he used coke the day before .That shit only lasts for an hour at the most .

If there was evidence he was under the influence wouldn`t have come out in that court case ?

Out of court hush money is my call .
I agree, I don't think it will get much further than an out of court settlement with nothing coming back on Ezra from the 3rd party side if it.
However, I have no clue how the insurance contract is worded.
It could be worded that having an illegal substance in your system will
leave you liable for the Ins company to recover losses which is a lessor test than being under the influence.
That argument , if there is one, will be between Ezra and the Ins company after they know any payouts.
Ins companies generally don't like paying out if they can worm out of it.
There was a story last week about a guy having his car stolen from his locked garage but not covered because his keys were in the car. If they had been on the kitchen bench or in the house he was covered, absolute BS , car gets stolen no matter what. Cops will tell you not to fight just give up the keys but never admit that in a police report you may not like the outcome.

Ezra looked stressed when facing the media in 2023 to the point where you could tell he struggled to put words together and they were praising him. Having him face the media when they are acting like vultures hunting for scraps for a negative article was hard to watch.
I wasn’t going to watch it but started to. What germs, clearly stated a hundred times I’m not talking about it. Leads to more questions about it.

It's times like this, you wish you had tasers & players zapped them.

Can the club ban certain reporters.

It was his sponsor's car, it would be their insurance company.
I know former Broncos players who have had cars, and they had the option to take out their own car insurance, which they did because it was cheaper to do so. The other option they were given were basically the same as if you hire a car. CTP is included, but the excess is through the roof unless you pay a fee to reduce it, or the sponsor may have just taken out some kind of liability cover on behalf of Ezra for a fee as well. Could well be different now though, but a few years ago thats how it was working when the guys had Toyota's given to them.

The sponsor though will have more than likely had the car insured separately to all this at a guess to cover themselves more.
