PLAYER Ezra Mam

dumbass response.
just don't give it any oxygen ezra. there is no scenario wherein people go hey yeah let's stop booing him now. best case would be him going yes people are going to boo me for my past and it's upto me to stay on the right track and make it up to the fans etc etc.

saying lol i don't care is a great way to ensure you're booed for a long time to come.

Could he have come up with a worse reply?

All he had to say is "I can't control what the fans think of me... they have a right to boo me if that's what they want. Can only control my own actions and will be working towards changing their minds"

Or some shit like that... rinse and repeat whenever anyone asks that same question.

He could say something about home fans like it only matters what the broncos fans think.. but if he gets booed at suncorp, then the media can come back to the quote and be like... "well it doesnt look like Ezra can rely on the home fans either"... because they're scum shtistains of people

Adam Goodes managed to turn the booing into a racism thing. Ezra should take that angle.

Ezra’s response was poorly thought out but from what I saw this a is all being taken extremely out of context
To be fair I have only seen the images and not the interview but the fact they’ve even got something to work with is ridiculous

Maybe there was more than 1 interview but basically what he said was

- the boos don’t bother him because he’s used to being booed from the Leniu incident (he wasn’t linking the 2 incidents - just the fact he experienced being booed).
- it won’t impact his performance, it just makes him want to prove people wrong
- he’s served his punishment, if people don’t agree with it, take it up with the NRL or police

Then he answered some baiting questions about race, which they then use in articles as if he just brought it up directly in relation to the booing for crashing his car.

Ezra is a bit cringe at times so maybe I’m giving him too much credit, but it looks like a kid who was trying to say “it doesn’t get to me. I’ve had crowds hammer me before. I’ve served my time” and the interviewer has swindled him into a few sound bites they can piece together to make boomers triggered.

He’s an idiot for falling for it, but he’s also having a bit of a Homer Simpson “sweet sweet can” moment
