Fans to meet Gallop in forum

November 05, 2008

SELECT rugby league fans will get the chance to air grievances and opinions with NRL boss David Gallop at a specially convened forum at the Sydney Football Stadium.

Chief executive Gallop and chief operating officer Graham Annesley will chair the meeting with two members from each of the 16 NRL clubs invited to attend.

Positive idea - wonder how much they will listen.

Also want to know what process they used to select the two represenatives from each club. So is anyone on here the Broncos reps?

I would pay coin to go to this. I have so many questions and suggestions for this idi...CEO.

Yeah that's why I am suss on their 'selection' process. Probably hand-picked so called fans who will tell them what they want to hear.

They should travel around and have an open forum at every club where all the fans can come along and 'discuss' the state of the game from our point of view. But they'd never do it - too scared to hear the truth.

i'm going to guess lyn martin is one of the broncos representatives.

OK so what would YOU ask/say to him?

Let me think about that for a minute......

Seriously...... no offence Lyn but pfffft.

As if anything they say is going to be acted on or has not already been raised with him by people who matter. It's not even good PR imo.

I would ask Dave, how he stands so upright despite not having a spine? Does he have a brace or some sort of back splint not visible to the eye?

Not doubt his reply would be "AAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR....."

Deadset, Dave would make a good pilot.

Seriously this is the NRL's answer to KRudd's 2020 summit. Just a big talk fest to make it look like they're listening to "the poiple" and not do anything about it.

No coincidence the horse that broke down halfway through the Cup and the CEO of the NRL share the same name.

Yeah, and they should both be taken out the back and shot.

And, even in that 1200 metres, Gallopin did more for the NRL than Gallop has done in the past three years...

Indeed. In fact, I propose Gallopin' be promoted to the CEO of the NRL.

Problem is he'd call every journalist Wilbur.
