Farah leaving the Tigers

I am willing to bet that the Wests Tigers will owe Farah 3 party agreement money.

Just like they ripped off Braith Anasta & Benji Marshall in 3 party agreements.

Farah wouldn't make that much sense for the Titans I don't think, they've got Nathan Friend to hold the fort for the next couple of years while the young guys develop, after that point they'll need to re-evaluate, Not sure if Mosley, Falloon, Srama are good enough to be first choice hookers at this point.

Of those 3, Srama had the most promise but seems to be made of glass. The others have shown nothing. Friend himself has to be close to retirement.

Souths have shown their hand - they can't afford to spend big on a hooker, otherwise they would have fought for Luke, their best option was to promote from within. The Knights though, yeah, I can't see anyone standing in his way there, the hooker prospects were mostly hooker/back-rowers anyway.

Could anyone besides the Titans afford him though? He'd be on MASSIVE money at the Tigers, and since it's an early release (not a clean signing after his contract expired) the Tigers will be paying any shortfall, which you'd assume they'll want to minimise.

With the youth in their halves, the Tits need experience and someone to guide them around in the spine, Nathan Friend has the former, but not the latter and it ain't coming from Hoggman either!

Farah would be great for them imo, although it would make even more detestable with him alongside the grub.

I'd glady take him over McCullough, but we apparently couldn't keep Glenn and Kahu without Hodges retiring. The Titans would make sense, they can afford an elite player and they don't exactly have a standout in that position.

Re: NRL Player Movements and Rumours 2015

The Roosters look like they might lose Matt McIlwrick so they can probably sign Farah with the space he leaves.

Would also still have some room for Hayne as well.

It will be weird watching the Wests Tigers without Farah he is basically anonymous with them. Souths have got some money to spend although that McInnes fellow seems like a good prospect. Farah would also want to stay in Sydney so I would be surprised if he went to the Gold Coast.

It's gotta be Newcastle though, hasn't it? Do they even have anyone first grade standard there?

Gagai and the Sims boys are pretty good players that would be a good signing for anybody. They've been their only shining lights this year.

That's the Tigers, we're not a club run by an inept administration, which players have ever had a strong influence over club decisions here? Even that aside, since when isn't Bennett THE decision maker for all things football? He'd just be another player here and he's worlds better than McCullough. Obviously I know it won't happen, but I'd love to seriously get a better hooker one day, because McCullough is only 25 so I fear he's our first choice hooker for the next 5-8 years. I won't rant on about losing Granville and now letting go of Parcell, because what's done is done.

I can't imagine we've got the salary cap space to sign him so he'll have to go someplace with lots of room like the Roosters. I'm not sure the Titans have room, didn't they release Taylor to free up some space not just because he was rubbish?

Ha ha..I like it better with anonymous rather than synonymous !!!!

I think he might struggle to find a spot in the NRL for next season.

Pretty much all the clubs would have their rosters sorted by now. A player that demands so much of your cap space is usually one of the first signings you make, not the last.

Maybe he'll head over to Super League ??

We'll it is possible someone could sign him in base wage and the Tigers stump up the cash next year before whatever club picks up the whole salary the year after.

Even if he retires, they'll be paying him anyway right?

I doubt very much that this is salary cap related. He's their captain and best player so you have to ask yourself, would the Cowboys release JT? Would the Storm release Cam Smith? Definitely not.

Farah's been poisoning that club for far too long and I'd say that they've had enough and told him to leave. The salary cap story is just to appease fans although I have no doubt that releasing him will free up a lot of coin.

Ha! That's one way to make sure he leaves.

Rumours are already circulating online that he's off to the Rabbitohs but I wouldn't rule out a possible move to Newcastle.

Wow! How many times did he run over Taylor's dog to piss him off that much?
