If his contract is around 900k as speculated then it probably is cap related. He becomes very affordable for any club really because the Tigers will have to pay any shortfall for the next 2 years.

Farah has been told if he is at the Wests Tigers next year, he will be in reserve grade.

Well...that's the old Gasnier thing isn't it? What's a bet the Roosters or Rabbits come in and tell them they will pay him base salary next year but he has to retire the year after? Our gutless and bumbling CEO would rubber stamp it too because Russell or Uncle Rooster asked him nicely.

Honestly, who could possibly want Farah for the price he would command even with the subsidy? The only ones are the Titans but it seems he wants to stay in Sydney. Maybe Parra but there salary cap is stuffed too.

I doubt very much that this is salary cap related. He's their captain and best player so you have to ask yourself, would the Cowboys release JT? Would the Storm release Cam Smith? Definitely not.

Farah's been poisoning that club for far too long and I'd say that they've had enough and told him to leave. The salary cap story is just to appease fans although I have no doubt that releasing him will free up a lot of coin.

Just saw on channel 10 news that this is the case . There has been a rift with Farah and Taylor .
