yes but why do these same people who vote for gillett then vote for Lewis and co, when they didnt watch them play either?

it makes no sense. yes, im aware its a 'favourite player' thing and not 'best player', but i still think its stupid.

I'm tipping there's a few more highlights reels of Wally Lewis and co than there is of Willie Carne, so it stands to reason that even if they are too young to have seen him play, they would have seen enough to like him better than whoever he's up against.

why would i do that when i now see that the majority of posters on the boards didnt even see our team with the 1998 grand final? be no point, just like this thread now IMO.

Langer vs. Lazarus was really tough.

You really can't go past Langer, he's an institution up here and was one of our best for so many years. While Lazarus did take our club to the next level, Langer was basically the foundation.

Hodges vs. Tate was pretty close too, Hodges just edged him out because I thought his form during that 2005-2007 was just too hard to ignore.

Finally, I originally voted Sailor vs. Tallis, reason being Sailor really changed the game while he was at the Broncos and gave us a big advantage. But I just couldn't go past Tallis' leadership qualities and the role he played for the club especially in 98-00.
