Roberto Martinez gone from the Portugal job.
He probably cost them their best chance at a World Cup trophy. Why he was given the role to begin with, I'll never know. He didn't have Portugal playing well.
Ronaldo's ego did play a part, as well. He would have been handy as a bench option to come on late if you need a goal, but he can't play 90 up front anymore. But really Martinez should have subbed him off and put on Ramos late in that Spain game.
It's a sad end to an International career that should have included a World Cup trophy, but at least he does have a major International trophy with the Euro '16 win.
