Fight for Fullback

Who should be the Broncos fullback in 2013?

I'm still on the Bond bandwagon. I know it's just QLD Cup, but from what I've been seeing of him, he has all the skills the we sometimes lack - speed, passing, a bit of vision, and plenty of heart.

Not that it says much considering how bad we were, but I thought Norman was one of our better players tonight. Certainly looked more threatening than Prince and Wallace in attack.

Corey Norman watch week 4 edition.

Arguably, his best game at the back. Finally got to make use of his passing game and it resulted in 5 tries. Very Karmichael Hunt esque.

Still think his work at the back is a bit shakey though. Dropped a few bombs and his positioning is a little too deep for my liking.

I think it does vindicate those that thought we needed a playmaking option at the back, and it's imo clear that Norman was that option. As an unexpected benefit, we uncovered an excellent centre/winger in Hoffman as well!

Now that Norman is on his way to Parramatta, and assuming we get Dugan, I would slot the rebel kid from Canberra in the FB position and move Norman out of the team alltogether, because I can't see him suit the team any better than the current players in their positions.

Agree 100%. Fullback is his last shot in this team and if we get Dugan then it needs to be straight to q cup for Norman to wait out the year unless we get injuries.

We owe him no favours and there is no point pushing players of our future out of position to continue to develop Norman for parra

Amen! He chooses to leave, for whatever reason, so be it. He won't be a part of the future team so if he's not one of the best 17 - you are the weakest link - goodbye!!

I see that once or twice.......I see a lot more of him making the extra man and passing it.

I think you've had too much to drink mate.

Corey Norman Watch Round 5

An even better performance. Ran like he had spiders on him and kicked like the ball was on a magnet. Might have just been his night but plenty to like about that performance.

Still a few technical problems at the back. Gave Kelly way too much room to aim at in the in-goal, hate how he always let's the ball bounce at least once in the game and that effort on Kelly (while chiefly Wallace's problem) pissed me off. I swear he has his own gear, lumbering. Makes him look totally disinterested at times.

I wouldn't be against Kahu getting a shot at fullback next season. And by shot, I mean put there at the start of the year with the view to keep him there.

Hopefully Yow Yeh is back on the field then, so he and Copley on the wings, Hodges and Reed in the centres. Halves will still be a let down, but what can you do, there's no decent halves on the market.
