POST GAME [Finals Week 1, 2023] Broncos vs Storm

Think our prelim will be on the Saturday night.

Flight prices are already fucked for both Friday and Saturday. Might have to road trip it if I can get a ticket.

I so want to fly up for this game. Any idea which day the game will be?

He did............he injured Paps when he speared in at the legs of a Bronco.
Yep I was relying on my "..." to carry that point for me. I doubt Bellamy learns anything from this too.
i.e. it might not be best to play your smallest, just returned from injury guy in the middle and don't let your big boofhead run around trying to injure people.

Arthars only ran for 62m compared to all the other backs who were over 100. Are we sure he should have been picked over Oates?

Haas - 180m, 77 PC metres
Carrigan -193m, 85 PC metres!
Hetherington - 140m
Palasia - 153m - he really came into his own in that second half
I still think yes, Arthars right choice.
He played better than the injured Oates all season. Love Oatesy, but Arthars has been better. Not his fault we didn’t really go down his side all game. Can’t leave the wing like Staggs from the centre position.

Oates will forever be a legend but I just feel Arthars is so safe under the high ball and in defence that Kevvie has no choice but to select him. Teams love kicking to Oates but will think twice kicking to Arthars.
tbf kicking to Oates has rarely worked the last the season or two. Oates has been very safe.
the main reason to pick Arthars is that Oates is underdone atm. Needs more games with less pressure on him.

LU are blowing up deluxe and I am loving every second. It's all "how dare you be happy, a player's career just ended"
You are a complete tosser, their comments are completely fair. Give yourself an uppercut you goose.

I'm pretty sure it was the 2006 Premiership that sparked this Storm vengance against us. And I say: have your home and away season dominance. You'll never take our 2006 Premeriship. And it was a beauty.
I'd say it was FW1 2004.

Melbourne would always trouble the Broncos, but Brisbane would hold their own and ice their chances while Melbourne would lose the plot. That changed in the second half when Melbourne came back from an 0-8 half-time score and won easily 31-14.

They then followed that up with a record score the following year and beat them in a typical impressive yet controversial win in the finals.

The 2006 GF really was the last hurrah for the Broncos and Melbourne well and truly took their mantle, especially after that 2008 win.
