POST GAME [Finals Week 1, 2023] Broncos vs Storm

The Storm… or any other pack of fools heading towards the Broncos defensive line….

Man my reaction to the injury from Paps vs Coates was a lot different. Felt real bad for Paps but I feel guilty for how excited I was for Coates. Am I a bad guy? Sure. Am I happy to live with it? Yes.
Couldn't agree more - Coates is a dog. Throwing shit around all night and he got owned

Does anyone anyone else feel like The Storm walked into the wrong Saloon last night?!
Picked the wrong guy and challenged him to a duel?!
Bang Bang…. Back to Melbourne in a body bag.
I don’t think you can underestimate that little set to at the start of the game. It was like - we’re not scared of you and you’re not going to push us around. I think it unsettled them just a bit.

Rosie teaching her Little Brother which team is Top Cat in this household 3 Broncos supporters and 1 wests Tigers supporter

Better not tell them they are directly related to that other mob.
Unfortunately they know their grandmother is a tiger supporter they don't care about her team just our Broncos

Hats off to all you folk brave enough to rock up and watch at the ground.

How was the atmosphere? Seemed pretty nuts loud to me watching from my TV.

Edit: man.... if if Reynolds scored that try the roof would have blown off the joint lol
It was awesome to be there.
Suncorp is my church. My spiritual home. It has brought me so much joy and sadness over the years but nothing worse than the repeated losses to that bunch of pricks. I was there the night we were in front with ony seconds to go when Ashton Sims dropped the ball and they stole it in the last minute.
I didn't think I would ever get over it but last night made it all worth it.

oh, and did I mention the sheer joy in seeing Bellyache on the big screen with his face in his hands and the crowd roaring when they saw him

Surely Cameron Smith and Billy slater have a little chuckle to themselves when commentators continuously talk about harry grant and Cameron munster like they are on the same level as them.
Don't get me wrong, great players in their own right, but Munster seems to be our of form more often then he's in form and there is no way Grant is an 80 minute hooker. Newsflash to the media, these 2 are not the reason the "streak" existed, they just jump on board it while we were shit...

Munster has played against the Broncos 16 times since 2015 and won 13- I think that's a fair contribution.

Grant is only five games.

Loved the defensive effort. Storm peppered our line for a while and we just kept repelling. Thats what's going to win you a premiership. I thought the storm were very slow to clear our ruck and concentrated hard on slowing our play the ball and I'm glad the ref pulled them up on it. Probably could have called more 6 agains and penalties but at least he didn't let them get away with murder.

I thought our first half attack was a little clunky and almost stuck in 2nd gear. But in hind sight that may have been a tactic to just build pressure, wear the storm down and not try score off each play like we can be guily of.

I don't know what the boys picked up in their video session of the storm but we did alot of change of direction, turn the ball under type attack between our big men in the middle. Not sure if it was just me but i felt it was a definite theme in our attack.

We just seem very well ballanced side at the moment. Bench rotation working well, everyone knows their job, no one overplaying their hand. Stay fit, stay healthy, stay focussed and they'll give themselves every chance to go all the way.

Completely forgot the game was on. Haven't been game to look at the score. How badly did we get flogged?
I called it earlier that you don't even watch games. Now I have proof that you don't even know the games are on half the time.
He must be pretty good. I don't hear a lot about him.
He is alright. Left it till the final minute to kick the 40/20. Billy was probably the better of the two. Kicked a nice ball deep also looking for a 40/20, and put in a nice kick for a dropout earlier in the match. Also made a ton of brave tackles early to take the sting out of the game. Probably only one major error where Riki overran a pass and Billy passed it forward due to autopilot brain-fart.

Guys, I think we are back to being the most hated team in the comp again
Definitely when it comes to the majority of TV and Radio commentators and journalists….
Oh what bliss🤣
**** Caxton would be going off right now, wish I was there. Took my son to the game tonight which was awesome and probably for the best because honestly if I didn’t have him with me I probably wouldn’t be seen for 3 days.
same here. Brought my 16yo daughter and 15yo son down from the Sunny Coast. Drive to Bald Hills station then train to Roma st. I just stood there for ages and just watched everything. Soaking in the sheer joy of tens of thousands of Broncos fans cry tears of joy after finally beating those pricks.
My kids have never seen the Broncos beat Storm at Suncorp and we were there for the same game last season when we got toweled up 60-something. That ride home last year was long and sad. Roadworks everywhere just added to the misery.
This year not so much😁
