PRE-GAME [Finals Week 1, 2025] - Broncos vs Raiders

Im hoping Madge is in the pressers talking about penalties, talking about how reffing is different during the finals, etc.

Raiders will live offside for the next month if they're allowed to, but if the refs are just going to ignore them then remind them that reffing is different in the finals and we should be allowed to be offside as well.

Drop sneaky hints like... "Raiders have an EXTEMELY FAST defensive line, especially in the red zone", "they want to be up in your face", "we had a player binned last week for repeat infringements, will that continue in the finals", etc.

As long as we're not getting reamed by the refs we can compete... if we are allowed to compete we can beat anyone
 
Parts of me have actually enjoyed seeing the Raiders do well this year, reminds of some of our great clashes with them way back when they were a power house. Good times.

This week though, they can eat ALL the dicks! (Sorry @FACTHUNT)

There pack is obviously strong, just look at ours though!
Match them in the middle and we win, simples.
 
I dont expect Willison to be back this week, but jeez we could use him to increase the size of the bench.

I think in round 2 Ricky started Papa to compete with Haas, but I wonder if he drops him to the bench to try and dominate our undersized interchange.

Going to need some big minutes from Haas in this game

I have a lot of love for big papa. he's served us well in origin, but I think this finals series will be an ask too much. he's done well to get to the end of this season, but i think the speed of the game will mean he'll only be able to give the milk 15 quality minutes at the most. if we can minimize his efforts during that spell we should go a long way to dominating their pack.

This is all provided we don't get hammered by 5 or 6 six agains to start the game. if this shit happens then we'll struggle to match it with them.

And this is the bay that I ended up getting tickets in. Dick sucking is written in the stars!!!

Also have to laugh at Ricky. The Raiders were terribly embarrassed by how much opposition keeps showing to their games - and especially the Bulldogs and Broncos games (urged for their fans to show up on the LoCaL nEwS). But the two Broncos bays had sold to single seats in about 3 mins.

He wanted us playing during the day with as little support as possible, but we'll have 35% of the crowd.

Yeah and thats why Im wondering if he drops him back to the bench so hes not taking on full fresh Payne and Patty.

But his first stint in round 2 was a big moment in that game... can Ricky lean on it again or is Papa at the back of a full season starting to show wear and tear
 
Really want to win this game.

Some of it is due to getting the week off and being only 1 game from a Grand Final, but most of it is so I can stick it to the wife and kids - who gave me so much crap after our last loss.

Friend animated a picture of us from that game (before the match - I wasnt smiling so much after the game).

I remember first final played outside Sydney when they introduced home and away finals was Lang Park in 1995 Broncos v Raiders. Last time the Broncos played the Raiders in finals too.

Three times for two wins to the Raiders. Broncos lost 90, won 93 and lost 95.
