Brisbane tried it last week and got caught out.

When it comes off, it looks brilliant but if you can't get the tempo right then you can expect a ton of mistakes.

In our defence, the Roosters put us under a lot of pressure early with JWH, Napa and Moa all starting. They bullied us early, it was almost on par with the Cowboys running Scott, Jummy and Lolol.

I think we rushed our plays off the back of that in an attempt to get ourselves back into the game.

The first few sets are so crucial to us. We need some powerful edge running, particularly from Thaiday, Gillett and Oates, make some quality metres, kick early if we need to and chase hard. If we can get that happening, we'll have the early momentum necessary to execute without pressure.

yeah i dunno, even if you could keep that kind of perfomance and standard up for 6 months with 3+ S.O.O. reps (which the Storm shows isnt sustainable) the opposition would adapt more quickly and develop appropriate tactics.

plus it'd be tough to get up like that for a team travelling like the Roosters in general, let alone after a triumph at AAMI

great to hear though Joe that this could be a tactic over the next month... **** we looked the goods when we pulled it out at AAMI last year too

If kahu can see out the whole game at centre and not get injured we will win easily.

Who's be kicking goals? It's been a merry-go-round for the last couple of weeks.

Yeah, I noticed that.

I saw Kahu walking back to the wing and Milford taking the kicks..

Perhaps Bennett is trying out new kickers to see who is going to take over next season. Or maybe Kahu has an injury there that is preventing him from kicking.

But I'm assuming Parker will be kicking tomorrow night.

I reckon Parker kicks em better with warm legs... I reckon Milf or Kahu will take the first 1 or 2 then hand it ove to Parker... Just a theory

So apparently there's a pretty good chance it rains tomorrow afternoon and evening.

Uh oh... That means kicking really plays a big part and not so much our ball running strength.

luckily hoffman is yet to pass the ball in 2016 so as soon as he catches it all you gotta do is stacks on.
Josh Hoffman's step has been rather effective this year, he set up a try against the Dragons with a brilliant step and broke through and then passed to Nathan Peats I think it was. So maybe he doesn't need to pass

The game against the Dragons a couple of weeks ago was in shithouse conditions and it was Hunts kicking game that won that game

id be suprised if opa's injury is all that serious, but WB sure knows when and how to blood them

this will be the last 'safe' chance to really test anyone else out.

actually suprised to not see Offa or Ese'ese for that matter

Hurt it early in the year against Bears. Never had a chance to get better, been nursed all year.

Just couldn't get it right this week.

We've been lucky with rain so far this year.

BOM (if it counts for anything) shows 80% chance of 1-5mm. So there's some solace that we shouldn't cop too much.

They predicted rain for Origin 2 and it was peachy, so hoping we get a repeat.

Think we can take them either way but a dry track should make for a better showing.
