Right ... so to speak :)

I like these quotes from Jason Taylor in the SMH: http://www.smh.com.au/rugby-league/...d-give-manly-winning-edge-20120906-25hh4.html

"By playing with some Bulldogs-style passing in the forwards, the Broncos were able to isolate the Dogs' centres, who were unable to stop the Broncos' hard running back-rowers."

and

"After doing as the Broncos had taught them, the Raiders strung some passes together in the forwards. Raiders forward Tom Learoyd-Lahrs then carried the ball into the defence before flick-passing it out the back to McCrone. This gathered the Bulldogs defenders in the middle of the field, and their edge defenders, feeling threatened, came forward."

I remember that shift in our game plan - passing among the forwards. Hope we keep that part of it against the Cows, and ALWAYS have RUNNERS SUPPORTING THE BALL CARRIER.

I think forwards passing first is the best way to make use of Norman too. But they just seemed to have completely forgotten about it after 2 matches, even though it was the most dangerous we've looked in ages.

the broncos are the biggest troll in the nrl.

we will flog the cows playing champagne football.

the rest of the comp wont know whats hit them.

^ and if we dont i will quietly get on my plane to the states on sunday and never speak about the broncos until next year.

Yeah, I agree. Again almost Doggy style (sorry), with the halves behind the forwards. I think it's the same with Wallace - he's at his best there, with some room, rather than running at the line DCE style. He just hasn't got the speed, even though I have seen him do very nice offloads as he hits the line.

But for me, the critical ones are: 1. An 80 minute effort; 2. SUPPORT PLAY, and players always looking to offload rather than blindly taking the tackle.

In tonight's game, I will be really interested to see how the halves go.

"We're confident in our (attack)," Griffin said.

"I don't think we need any energising. There is no lack of confidence or anyone doubting their ability ... that is coming from outside the change rooms, not us.

"We're not changing anything. We have to defend well and complete a lot of sets and that will give us a chance.

"We know if we defend well, we'll be in there with a chance."

Reminds me of the Iraqi Information Minister during the war "Everything is fine, we will slaughter them!"

I wish it was still the old finals system. The way the Dogs played last night, I reckon we could have got them on a Sunday afternoon. We would then be on an almighty roll with a home final next week most likely against the Cowboys.

Lets not get carried away with ourselves.

I agree. I reckon the Dogs played very well, and I thought the Manly defence wasn't that bad. Barba, like Slater, Inglis (and maybe Dugan) are going to prove a headache for any side.

Seems to win a comp these days a team needs a first rate strike weapon at the back. This worries me a lot about our side.

I think the Broncs at their best can match any side - except for ....

Ben Ikin summed up our chances very well, for us to win with our very simple game plan our effort has to redline and we have to be close to perfect with our completions.

... and watch for Bowen when there's a scrum in our red zone

I had a dream (attach Martin Luther King voice) that Broncos beat Cowpokes 22-12

Win by 2, Bowen and JT to have a shocker and Ashton to provide the cows with a special knock on to give the broncs the win
