If Seibs has any clue about finals footy he'll know that you have to name a team that has as few changes as possible from the weeks prior to ensure combinations are there when needed.

Unfortunately, the combinations we are going with at the moment are just not cutting it. The one slight change I would risk is Macca to 7 and Turps starting at 9.

To me it is a no-brained and has been for weeks. Turps is a far better 9 than Macca and more importantly, a far better 9 than 7.

Macca will try his guts out as he always does and at least he will be solid defensively out wider. This should have happened weeks ago.

As counter intuitive as it sounds, i agree. IMO macca at 7 would be a better 7 than turpin. Turpin is a better 9 than macca at 9.

Macca reads the defensive line better than turpin in the halves position. When turpin was in the bin last time we played parra, and macca defended in the halves our right side looked more secure even though we were down to 12.

I dont think we would necessarily lose anything in attack as turpin at 7 only shuffles the ball on and kicks (both which macca could probably manage) and at 9 turpin would provide more spark than macca.

I think he would be an absolute disaster at 7. If he cannot create space by running angles as do Smith and Cook and Hodson, what is the point of playing 7 when that is a core feature of a half back?

Of course he would be. The last place Macca should be is first receiver. He should be on the bench, in a purely defensive role. We should be comparing him to the likes of Gillett, Kennedy and Carrigan, not Turpin, Segeyaro, etc.

Dropping Boyd on week 1 one of the finals would be the dumbest coaching decision ever. It's all fake rumours.

I'd maybe believe him being shifted to centres, Macca to 6, SOS to 7, Turpin to 9 but if Seibold didn't do that 2 weeks ago I don't see why he would now. It'll be the same 1-17
