Yeah, but most of those matches were as coach of the Broncos... so we've pretty much just entered some kind of timewarp parallax flux capacitor toilet pineapple conundrum.

I'm totally at peace with the result either way. If we win, then I'm really looking forward to the battle with Manly for the GF.

If we lose, well, it's been a superb season, far beyond my expectations, and I'll be able to say I was there for Locky's last club game, and that we've really got a foundation to be a force in the competition for years to come. And most importantly, the club culture has been returned to something like its past glory after quite a few years on the slide.

Might just sound like rationalisation - and rest assured I'll be nervous for the game tomorrow (and I hate losing to the Dragons!), but apart from the initial disappointment of a loss I'll be utterly content with the season as a whole.

if we lose, i just hope its because we were beaten by a better side. i dont want us to lose from a poor effort. if the team puts their all into the game they can hold their head high, win or lose. it will be disappointing, because as above i reckon we can win this comp.

^^^ This. It'll be disappointing. But it won't be as heartbreaking as, say, 2002 or 2008 when IMO we had champion teams ready to win the comp and we were dudded.

bloody hell - remember how many wrote us off, most didnt even think we'd make the 8. i was confident from before the season started we'd make it comfortably. a GF win is another story though.

everything this year has just been handled so well (thats at least how it appears to me as just another fan). i am stoked we've had no controversy at all (macca + hunt doesnt really count)

Yep, my expectation was a low-top 8, 6-8 or something. I would've been content with that and a competitive showing in week 1.

Or lose because of a refs mistake. (that's my fear)

I'd be pretty shattered if we lost this weekend, mostly because I want the chance to see Locky play live one more time (or two more times, ideally).

From a football perspective though, I've said many times that I am totally satisfied with our results this year and will look forward to next year with hope. As noisetheory said, if we go down fighting then I will have no complaints.
