Finals Week 2 - Broncos vs Dragons - Post Match Discussion

I was bored last night and there was nothing on tv so I decided to watch this game again, and what a game it was. After watching it again, I can say without a doubt that had Locky not had his face caved in we would have taken out the title. We were absolutely on fire in that first half and the dragons defence was unbelievable. And Locky's field goal finish was amazing.

Definitely not deleting this one from the IQ anytime soon.

I re-watched this a week or two ago, thinking it would make me happy because it was such a fantastic performance. Turns out it just made me depressed because I had the same thoughts as you. Definitely hanging onto it though. A truly amazing game.

I really think it's in the grand final of best games I've ever seen. Certainly the best I've ever attended.

It was absolutely awesome being there. One to tell the grandchildren about..

It's difficult to explain but I felt physically drained after the 80 mins. I don't know if it was from the cheering or from biting my nails but for some reason I had nothing in the tank at the start of golden point time.Has anyone felt that way before?

Anyway I remember feeling like I was going to black out when Lockyer popped the field goal - I was jumping up and down and screaming so hard. It was fitting that it was his final play in a Broncos jersey.

It was great but I still don't think it comes close to the effort against the Bulldogs in the 2006 finals, now there is a game I will never forget. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AKgSylSvHZM

I think I will always remember this one a bit more fondly - firstly because I was there, but also because of how the season panned out.

That being said, the Dragons game was 80 minutes of extremely high quality football from both sides. I don't think I've ever seen a game with that much intensity and for the Broncos to prevail with such a young team was really something extraordinary.

it was the best club match of footy i can remember, bar none. that it was lockyers last game, and his last game at home, was just the icing on the cake.

it truly was origin like in atmosphere, dare i say even BETTER at some stages of the game. ive still got it recorded, and it wont be getting deleted any time soon haha.

I will never forget it. I was sitting behind the goal posts where the field goal snuck over and when it went over it was the loudest I have ever heard a crowd at any sporting event I have attended.

Won't be beat.

It was a bloody epic way to finish his time wearing a Broncos jersey. A caved in face stays on plays through the pain and wins the game with the dodgiest of field goals. What a way to go out.
